Now, most heaters try to warm up the air around you, which takes forever. Shortwave IR is different. It hits your skin and the surfaces around you instantly. It’s that immediate “ahhh” feeling the second you flip the switch. To make them last longer, we use quartz glass tubes filled with halogen gas. It keeps the footprint small but packs a serious punch of heat. A few things to watch out for during install. If you’re swapping an old unit for one of these, it’s usually a pretty easy drop-in—as long as your wattage and voltage match up. But here’s the catch: the IP65 casing is a bit bulkier.
